January 15, 2011 – People often ask me how I made the transition from interior design to website design.  It’s an interesting story.  While working at Aumiller Youngquist, P.C., the partners decided to redesign the company’s website.  Since they felt they had creative talent in house, they decided to let me take courses on website design so I could design, develop, and create the website.  I found there to be a parallel from interior design to website design.  Both disciplines require balance of creative and technical background to achieve the final product.  Much like interior design has several phases to a project, so does website design and development.  “Everything begins with a simple sketch.”
